Kristin Quigley Brye

Kristin Quigley Brye , Collaborative Pianist, holds degrees in Horn and Collaborative Piano/Vocal Coaching from Pacific Lutheran University and North Carolina School of the Arts. She is completing the        D. M. A. at University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Orchestral/Opera conducting. Kristin was Music Administrator and Assistant/Cover Conductor at Anchorage Opera for 6 years and has been repetiteur for Tacoma Opera and Reno Opera.  Kristin is former principal Horn of the Tacoma Symphony, Tacoma Opera, and Anchorage Opera and was a founding member of the Pacific Brass Quintet. She has been featured with the Tacoma Chamber Orchestra, the Anchorage Dark Night Series, the Alaska Chamber Music Festival, and the Anchorage Civic Orchestra.  Kristin is a former faculty member of The University of Alaska Anchorage, and Pacific Lutheran University, where she was co-director of the Opera Workshop program. Kristin is presently an adjunct professor of Piano at Peninsula College, and the Director of Music at First United Methodist Church.

Joy Lingerfelt is the founding director of NorthWest Women's Chorale, having lived on the Olympic Peninsula for eight years. With a Master of Music degree from Southern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Music from Pacific Lutheran University, she currently serves as an Associate in Ministry at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, ELCA, in Port Angeles. While living in Tennessee, she directed the Bartlett Community Chorus and Cumberland Presbyterian Choral Society and sang with the Rhodes Mastersingers in Memphis. Ms. Lingerfelt has performed as piano soloist with the Port Angeles Chamber Symphony, playing Bach's Keyboard Concerto No. 1 in D Minor with the Chamber Players, and the Schubert Fantasy in F for Piano Four-Hands with conductor Adam Stern. Joy is the Chorus Master for the newly formed Port Angeles Symphony Chorus. She is an adjudicator for various regional competitions including solo-ensemble contests, Port Angeles Symphony Scholarship contest and the Monday Musicale Scholarship. A member of the American Choral Director's Association, Ms. Lingerfelt is always on the lookout for innovative, well-crafted music that resonates both with the soul and the intellect. That, along with a distinct passion for exploring distant lands keeps her quite busy.
